Tyson Evan Williams assures parents he's ok after his reported disappearance
ALBANY, GA – The mystery of the missing Albany State University student is over with a call of assurance to his parents that he’s okay.
Albany Police’s Public Information Officer Phyllis Whitley-Banks says Tyson Evans Williams is no longer the subject of an extensive search of officers.
The freshman student was reported missing over the weekend, after last being seen early Saturday morning near his Whitney Avenue apartment.
Monday afternoon, Williams contacted his parents to let them know he’s safe.
According to Banks, Williams is in Atlanta, not far from his family home of Decatur.
The Albany Police Department and the Albany State University Police Department collaborated during the search for Williams.
