Little Mermaid JR Takes Center Stage in Valdosta This Weekend

VALDOSTA, Ga. – Valdosta theater goers will get a treat this weekend when the South Georgia Drama Kidz take the stage. The children’s theatre group will be putting on 3 performances of The Little Mermaid JR – twice on Saturday and a matinee Sunday afternoon. The “junior” designation means the show has been adapted for children, but it still contains all the songs from the animated Disney classic and three new songs from the Broadway show!

South Georgia Drama Kidz is a Valdosta-based children’s theatre group that offers youngsters the opportunity to learn drama while developing personal growth skills through drama, music, and dance. In the preparation and performance of theatre, children build and develop lifelong values such as teamwork, responsibility, empathy, communication skills, social skills, and an increased sense of creativity and self-worth..
