Leesburg PD accepting toy donations for Foster Child Program
(LEESBURG, Ga)- The Leesburg Police Department is getting ready to once again give back to kids in need for the holidays.
The police department announced on their Facebook page that they have begun accepting donations for the Charles Moore Foster Children Program.
Through December 18th, you can bring a new, unwrapped toy to multiple locations across Lee County.
“It’s a thrill for the officers of the department, plus others active in the community to come with us to the police department, and pack all the toys for the kids. We get to personalize the toys the kids are going to get Christmas Day,” says Lieutenant James Vick of the Leesburg Police.
At this time, the Leesburg Police has 55 kids signed up.
Drop-off locations include:
-Leesburg Police Department
-Lee County Sheriff’s Office
-All Lee County Fire and EMS stations
-Ledo Road Walmart
-Robert B Lee and Philema Road Dollar General
-Dogonit Hot Dogs on Walnut St in Leesburg
-Gieryic’s Automotive Repair on Dawson Rd in Albany
