Lee County Utilities Authority issues water restriction
(LEESBURG, Ga)- As the intense heat and drought continues across Southwest Georgia, one county is issuing restrictions.
The Lee County Utilities Authority announced Monday that no customers should be out watering between 10 A.M. and 4 P.M.
The restriction is due to a malfunction of one of the water wells for the county.
We spoke with the General Manager of the Utilities Authority, Chris Boswell, about the restriction.
“Our first condition is to mkae sure the water is safe, it’s good water, and there’s plenty of it. And that’s what we’re doing by just having this minor restriction. As soon as the weather changes, we should be able to lift the minor restriction,” says Boswell.
Boswell says the restriction will be lifted following a large storm.
