Rep. Adriano Espaillat is “perplexed” after deadly ICE shooting in Houston

Democratic Congressman Adriano Espaillat of New York, who’s Chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, joined Wolf Blitzer in The Situation Room ahead of Congressional field hearings in Houston on the death of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo. The 52-year-old Mexican national was shot and killed by an ICE agent during a July 7 traffic stop in Houston. Federal officials say the agent fired in self-defense. Men who were with Salgado Araujo’s dispute ICE’s version of events, according to attorney Hugo Balderas-Ibarra.
