Virtual Meets Reality In Fitzgerald This June
FITZGERALD, Ga. – Kids in the Fitzgerald area will have access to a high-tech summer camp experience June 8th through the 11th. Youngsters between the ages of 11 and 16 can take part in the Wiregrass Georgia Technical College Virtual Reality and Heavy Equipment Operation Summer Camp. Students can explore careers in healthcare, welding, HVAC, and more – virtually, with state of the art VR headsets and curriculum.
Participants all get to use a Caterpillar motor grader simulator, and campers 14 and up can gain hands-on experience with a real mini excavator and backhoe. The summer camp takes place from 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. each day, and will be held on the Ben Hill-Irwin campus at 667 Perry House Road. The cost is only $75, and limited spots are available.
