Get Ready for Fall Miracles in Valdosta
VALDOSTA, Ga. – The Miracle League of Valdosta Fall 2026 Registration is Open. Once again Greater Valdosta United Way is sponsoring every athlete, so for the Fall Season there will be no registration fee. The Miracle League of Valdosta extends its heartfelt thanks to the Greater Valdosta United Way.
The Miracle League is where children and adults with disabilities play organized sports. Each athlete is paired with volunteer “Buddies” who assist them in batting/kicking, catching, throwing and running. Youth and Adult games are played both Fall and Spring. The “Buddy” is one of the most important elements of the Miracle League. “Buddies” can be schoolmates, parents, students, athletes, business leaders, and any individuals or groups wishing to volunteer their time.
In 2019 Miracle Field became the new home for the Miracle League of Valdosta. Valdosta Lowndes Parks and Recreation Authority (VLPRA) and the Miracle League of Valdosta worked in a public/private partnership to build the nation’s largest Miracle Field, which is the centerpiece of the Miracle Field Complex at Freedom Park. The Miracle Field is a specialized, rubberized, two-dimensional 200-foot accessible field designed with no raised bases or lips to safely accommodate players using wheelchairs, walkers, or assistive devices. Freedom Park is located at 3795 Guest Road inValdosta.
Games are non-competitive in nature, with every player batting, rounding the bases, and scoring in each inning. The primary focus is on participation and inclusion rather than on winning.
