ATLANTA, GA- Today, ahead of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’s visit to Atlanta tomorrow to urge Congress to pass legislation protecting the constitutional right to vote and the integrity of our elections, Congresswoman Nikema Williams, Chair of the Democratic Party of Georgia, released the following statement:

“Georgians are excited to welcome President Biden and Vice President Harris back to the Peach State as they speak to the urgent need to pass federal voting rights legislation. With Brian Kemp and Georgia Republicans unabashedly attacking Georgians’ access to the ballot box and undermining the integrity of our election system, Georgia has become ground zero of the nationwide voter suppression movement. The President and Vice President’s trip tomorrow will serve as a strong reinforcement that the Biden-Harris administration and Democrats will not relent in the fight to safeguard our democracy and protect every American’s right to vote.”
