Former law enforcement officer arrested; charged with child molestation
ANDERSONVILLE, Ga. – In a Facebook posting on Friday, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation announced the arrest of Robert Alexander Scott, 69, of Andersonville, Sumter County, Georgia.
Scott was arrested and charged with two counts of sexual battery, two counts of child molestation and two counts of enticing a child for indecent purposes following the execution of a search warrant at his home in Sumter County, according to the GBI.
The GBI was asked by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office to investigate child molestation allegations made against Scott on March 13 of this year. Scott is a former law enforcement officer who has worked in the southwest Georgia area for several agencies.
