Firecracker Blood Drive in Americus Friday, June 19th

AMERICUS, Ga. – The American Red Cross is asking potential donors in Americus to roll up their sleeves this Friday. The nation is facing a critical blood shortage this summer. In response, the Phoebe Sumter Medical Center, assisted by PSMC Auxiliary, is hosting its annual Firecracker Blood Drive.

The drive takes place from 8:15 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. this Friday, and donors will receive a $15 e-gift card and an American Red Cross t-shirt while supplies last. There will also be a drawing for Downtown Dollars, and one lucky donor could walk away with a $7500 prize.

The Firecracker Blood Drive takes place at Americus First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 221 South Lee Street. To register, scan the QR code on the flyer, or visit RedCrossBlood.org and enter: PSMC to schedule an appointment. For more information, call 1-800 RED CROSS. Be a hero. Donate blood.
