Early County uncle & niece arrested for murder

BLAKELY, GA- GBI agents have arrested a pair of Early County relatives in connection to a case of human remains discovered earlier this month at a Blakely residence.

Wednesday, agents arrested and charged both 20 year old Molly Nicole Morman and her 50 year old uncle, identified as Billy Joe Morman on charges of felony murder, aggravated assault and concealing a death.

The charges stem from a June 9 request from the Early County Sheriff’s Office pertaining to the discovery of human remains being found at a Fort Gaines Street residence in Blakely.

Identification of those remains is pending from the GBI Crime Lab.

Molly Morman was taken to the Early County Jail, her uncle is being held in nearby Troup County on unrelated charges.

The GBI says their investigation is active and ongoing, they request anyone who may have additional information in the case to come forward and contact the Early County Sheriff’s Office at 229-723-3577  or the GBI’s Sylvester Field Office at 229-777-2080.
