Dougherty County first responders host National Night Out

(RADIUM SPRINGS, Ga)- It was a packed house at Radium Springs Middle School Wednesday night. As Dougherty County first responders hosted their annual National Night Out.

First responders gave out free school supplies to students, while local barbers were giving free haircuts to students.

We spoke with Lily Pad SANE Center Executive Director, Mary-Martinez Allen about having the massive turnout.

She tells us, “We’ve been partnering with DCP and with all of the other law enforcement and public safety agencies for the past nine years. To be able to do this. It’s so important that we can capture such a large group of kids to teach them something about body safety, and a little bit of school supplies to help too.”

Dougherty County Schools are officially back in class Thursday morning.
