Derby Day This Sunday in Valdosta

VALDOSTA, Ga. – Sunday is Derby Day in Valdosta, for what promises to be an afternoon of Mahjong and mischief for a good cause. Mischief Mahj injects some extra pizzazz into the popular tile game, and players are invited to Valdosta Country Club from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M., to play, sip, and support the Boys and Girls Club of South Georgia.

The idea is simple – blending perfection with a sprinkle of fun by injecting a few extra wild tiles into the mix. Organizers state that they are honoring the game’s roots while serving up a quirky spin.

The little deck causing big chaos in an already tumultuous game was created by a group of mahjong-loving women who wanted to add. A playful twist.
