Crisp County High School baseball coach accused of sexual assault of a student
VIENNA, Ga. – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation arrested David Lamberth, 42, Thursday on a charge of sexual assault.
On Oct. 28, the GBI Region 13 Perry office was requested by the Crisp County Sheriff’s Office to conduct an investigation into alleged sexual assault being committed with high school students by Crisp County High School Special Education Teacher and head high school baseball Coach David Lamberth, according to a release from the GBI
He is accused of sexual assault with a student in Dooly County, according to the release.
Prior to resigning from the Crisp County School System on Oct. 30, Lamberth worked for the school system since August 2013 and had been both a varsity and middle school coach during his tenure. Prior to being employed with the Crisp County School System, Lamberth was a teacher/coach with the Gwinnett County School System.
This is an active, ongoing investigation and additional charges are expected.
