Cordele gun battle lands one teen behind bars; another sought
18 year old Jacambrian Smith is considered armed and dangerous
CORDELE, GA – Reported gunshots Wednesday afternoon in Cordele lands a 17 year old suspect behind bars and an 18 year old suspect on the run.
Cordele Police say they responded to a call of shots fired Wednesday afternoon near 13th Avenue and 2nd street.
Officers picked up and arrested 17 year old Kervaris Bly shortly afterward, with police allegedly finding a concealed firearm on him shortly after the shooting.
Bly was arrested on charges of aggravated assault, firing a weapon near a roadway, possession of a firearm by a minor and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Meanwhile, Bly’s alleged assailant, 18 year old Jacambrian Smith remains at large.
Cordele Police consider him armed and dangerous and have active warrants for his arrest on the following counts of aggravated assault, cruelty to children, firing a weapon near a roadway and possessing a firearm during the commission of a crime.
