CORDELE, GA – Cordele Police say they’ve captured a 21 year old shooting suspect, who detectives say targeted the same victim in two separate incidents.

Police say Tuesday afternoon, they captured Mico Dennard Waters at a Cordele residence.

Waters faces 11 felony counts of aggravated assault along with two misdemeanor counts of stalking and pointing a firearm at another.

Detectives say it began Sunday in the 800 block of West 15th Avenue, when Waters allegedly shot at and missed his intended victim, who was in the company of two small children.

Police say Waters fled the scene before officers arrived.

The following day, police say Waters encountered the same person, and waved a gun at that same target, in a busy Cordele intersection.

Waters’ intended target was able to escape and contact police.

A total of fifteen warrants for Waters was signed before his arrest Tuesday afternoon.

Waters is currently being held in the Crisp County Detention Center.
