Community clean up day set for Saturday
ALBANY, GA. – Keep Albany-Dougherty Beautiful is getting set for the organization’s big recycling event this weekend to safely dispose of a few things.
The set up will be in the parking lot of the Albany Civic Center to shred documents and recycle old televisions and ink cartridges.
They’ll also accept expired medications anonymously.
“We never recommend that you just flush medication. Bring it to us, and we’ll properly dispose of it. The electronics, some of them like the TV’s have hazardous materials in them,” executive director Judy Bowles said.
The event will take place beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Albany Civic Center parking lot.
All services are free except for the removal of hazardous materials, which is $20
and CRT televisions are $10 to dispose of.
