Hawks improve to 22-10 on MLK Day games with win

ATLANTA – The Atlanta Hawks took on the Miami Heat on Monday night looking to extend their win streak to three games.

Atlanta’s had an up-and-down start to 2023, but have found its rhythm over the last few games. The Hawks looked like a playoff team Monday night as they scorched the Hawks 121-113 to improve to 22-10 all time on MLK Day games.

Shooting gaurd Dejounte Murray led the team with 28 points, including the go-ahead four-point play to put the Hawks up eight with 90 seconds left.

Clint Capela returned from injury in Monday’s game as well, scoring 12 points and grabbing six rebounds in 20 minutes as he was eased back into the lineup.

The Hawks will take their win streak to Dallas on Wednesday as they face Luka Doncic and the Mavericks.
