ALBANY, Ga. – It’s time to tie one on, Albany. Cancer Ties holds its 5k, Fun Run and Spring Fest this Saturday at Chehaw Park and Zoo.

The event promises to be a full day of fun, community and support as the group rallies around its 2026 recipients Kelley Hollowell, Jason Carr, and Amanda Mallow.

Registration for the 5-K is at 7:30 A.M., with the starting gun going off at 8:30. The Fun Run follows along after that. Spring Fest activities begin once local vendors and the kids zone open up.at 10. Then, live music cranks up at noon, when Off Road Sports takes the stage.

Organizers suggest attendees bring their friends, family, and lawn chairs for a day filled with running, music, vendors, kids’ activities, and community support. This spring fundraising event helps Cancer Ties support cancer victims and their families by assisting with medical costs.
