Albany Police Department designates parking spaces with new signage
ALBANY, Ga. – The Albany Police Department (APD) said on Facebook Tuesday that they added signs that say “Exchange Zone Parking Only” to some parking spaces around town.
They say the public can use these spaces to trade legal items, including social media sales, or conduct child custody exchanges in a safe atmosphere promoted by a police-protected environment.
There are two parking areas at the APD’s downtown facility. One set of signs is in the North Jackson/Washington Street alley that runs along the side of the department, and there are also two parking spaces in the West Oglethorpe Boulevard visitor’s parking area.
