YMCA to host last food distribution

ALBANY, Ga – Tomorrow the Albany Area YMCA is hosting their 17th food distribution and the last food distribution at their central facility. The SWGA United Way partners will be working together, along with the Civic Center, to host larger food distributions every other week starting in August.
In a press release the YMCA says:
We are grateful to partner with such amazing organizations and volunteers to serve our community.
To date we have:
· Hosted 17 food distributions giving out over 5950 one week’s worth of meals to families in need.
· Distributed over 2500 masks
· Organized blood drives to address the critical blood shortage.
· Provided childcare for essential workers
Our partners and volunteers are: United Way, Feeding the Valley of Albany, The ARC, Liberty House, Boy Scout Troop 3, Albany Police Department, and YMCA staff.
The drive starts at 8:00 AM tomorrow and will end around 10:30 AM.
