Mom charged with DUI after Vienna train collision
26 year old Rodreka Morgan found with two children in stalled car on train tracks early Saturday

VIENNA, GA – A 26 year old mother faces charges of DUI and child endangerment after a passerby helps rescue her and her two children from their stalled vehicle, that was hit moments later by an oncoming train.
Vienna Police Chief Katorie Sales says it happened early Saturday morning at the CSX railroad crossing on Union Street.
Police say around 3:45am, they got the call that a black SUV had stalled on the tracks and was hit by a train.
A witness, later identified as Vienna Mayor Eddie Daniels, helped get Morgan and the two children to safety prior to the vehicle being struck by the incoming locomotive.
Mayor Daniels suffered minor injuries from flying debris but otherwise is OK.
Chief Sales says that Georgia State Troopers later determined that Morgan had alcohol in her system at the time of the incident.
