Cox Landing’s temporary closure
Cox Landing to close while Georgia Power completes work at Flint River Hydro
ALBANY, GA – On Friday, September 9, 2022, Cox Landing will be closed as Georgia Power uses it to launch a barge and equipment.
Cox Landing will also be closed Monday, September 12, and Tuesday, September 13, 2022.
Georgia Power has requested to use the landing while work is being performed at Flint River Hydro.
There will be areas marked off with safety barrels. This is for the protection of the public and to prevent any potential injury while crews are working.
Please be mindful of these areas and courteous to those working and their equipment.
Depending on the weather and work progress, workers may need an extra day and Cox Landing may also be closed on Wednesday, September 14.
