HAHIRA, GA – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says the suspect wanted in Saturday night’s fatal shooting at the Hahira Inn has surrendered herself to authorities.

GBI Special Agent Jamy Steinberg says 32 year old Davisha Johnson was taken into custody without incident late Monday afternoon at a Valdosta residence.

Meanwhile, investigators have also identified the deceased in Saturday’s fatal shooting as 51 year old Daron Roberto Williams of Hahira.

Agents say the suspect and victim were well acquainted with one another over the past few years.

Williams was found shot to death Saturday night a little after 9pm at the Hahira Inn, as officers responded to a “shots fired” call from one of the guest rooms.

The GBI says once it’s investigation is complete, it will be forwarded to District Attorney Brad Shealy for prosecution.

At last report, Johnson was being held in the Lowndes County Jail in Valdosta.
