Albany teen arrested for December home invasion
17-year-old Jordan Shamar Jones in jail, charged with home invasion and aggravated assault
ALBANY, GA – Albany Police say they’ve made an arrest in home invasion from late last year by apprehending and charging 17-year-old Jordan Shamar Jones on counts of home invasion and aggravated assault.
Police say back in December of last year, a home invasion occurred in the 200 Block of Hillside Drive.
The victim told police that three men armed with handguns entered her home.
She says called out to her son, and when he saw the intruders, he backed into his room to retrieve a weapon.
The suspects reportedly began shooting with the victim’s son returning fire.
After the exchange of bullets, the suspects then fled the scene in a vehicle.
Jones is currently in jail on unrelated charges.
