Coffee teacher charged with child sex crimes
Nathan Garrett faces two counts of sexual battery and two counts of child molestation

DOUGLAS, GA – A teacher at Coffee County’s George Washington Carver Freshman Campus is noticeably absent Wednesday following his arrest on sexually related charges involving minors.
Tuesday, the GBI alerted they have arrested and charged 25 year old Nathan Garrett with two counts of child molestation and two counts of sexual battery.
Garrett was a teacher at George Washington Carver Freshman Campus in Coffee County when the school’s police officers received information that Garrett may be sexually involved with one of his students.
Garrett was arrested in Statesboro and afterward, a search warrant was executed at his home in Coffee County At last report, Garrett was still being held at the Coffee County Jail.
