Senior charged in Tift murder

68 year old Willie Goodman charged with homicide of 59 year old

TIFTON, GA – Tuesday, the GBI revealed both the names of the suspect and victim in a Tifton homicide discovered Sunday.

Agents say 68 year old Willie Goodman Jr. faces one count of felony homicide and aggravated assault in the connection to the shooting death of 59 year old Ethel Michelle Strawter.

Deputies found Strawter deceased from a suspected gunshot wound as they responded to a call to 318 South Wilson Street.

Goodman is being held in the Tift County Jail tonight.

No potential motive has been offered by investigators
