Brooks blaze kills two
Victims taken for autopsy as state's 24 and 25th fire fatalities of 2022
QUITMAN, GA- Georgia’s Insurance and Fire Safety Commissioner John King says two people perished last week in a Brooks County residential fire.
Firefighters arrived on scene early Thursday morning at the Bartow Drive residence and found two people deceased inside.
Both have yet to be identified as autopsies are being conducted at the GBI Crime Lab in Decatur.
King says the pair are the state’s 24th & 25th fatal fire victims this year.
