Woman shot; friend charged

23 year old Taylor Walker faces aggravated assault & weapon charges

MOULTRIE, GA – The GBI says a Friday morning shooting in Moultrie culminates with the arrest of a Norman Park man, who apparently knew his intended target.

GBI Special Agent Jamy Steinberg says 23 year old Taylor Wade Walker has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault and possessing a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Walker was arrested in connection to the Friday morning shooting at the Hampton Inn in Moultrie.

Moultrie Police say they arrived around 7:30 Friday morning to find a woman suffering a gunshot wound.

Investigators determined Walker was the triggerman, who could face additional charges as the investigation continues.
