Tornado hits Colquitt County, storm recovery efforts underway

MOULTRIE, Ga. – The National Weather Service confirmed that an EF-1 tornado touched down in Colquitt County resulting in catastrophic damage throughout the county.

According to Colquitt County EMA, 10-15 homes were damaged. Along Culbertson Road, there was significant damage done as the tornado ripped through with winds of 90-105 mph.

Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m. is when the tornado hit.
