Grinch foiled again by Cordele cops

CORDELE, GA – The Cordele Police Department held their main “Shop with a Cop” event last Friday. The much-anticipated trip started off with a police escort for the kids through town to Wal-Mart.

Each child took their time deciding on which item they wanted, with some opting to buy gifts for parents, friends, or siblings. One generous child bought candy for the rest of the children on the bus.

After the big shopping event, it was time to head to the community clubhouse for a visit with Santa and a pizza party.

Unfortunately, the happy occasion was nearly spoiled by an appearance by The Grinch, but when faced with the Cordele cops, he decided he would just stay and enjoy the party after all.

The department reports that they thoroughly enjoyed spending time with these awesome kids, getting to know them and trying to brighten their holiday.
