GBI promotes McNeal

DECATUR, GA– The Georgia Bureau of Investigation announces the promotion of Kyle McNeal to Assistant Special Agent in Charge (ASAC) of the GBI Region 12 Eastman Office. ASAC McNeal will be responsible with assisting the Special Agent in Charge with the supervision of the staff assigned to field office that conducts criminal investigations involving major crimes such as: homicides, sexual assault, robbery, crimes against children, gang investigations, crime scene investigations as well as use of force investigations and cases involving public corruption.

ASAC McNeal began his law enforcement career with the Altamaha Drug Task Force in Baxley, GA in 2007. He joined the GBI in 2011 and has held assignments as a Special Agent at the Tri-Circuit Drug Task Force and the Southeastern Regional Drug Enforcement Office (SRDEO) in Metter, GA. In April 2020, ASAC McNeal was detached to the Drug Enforcement Administration Resident Office in Savannah as a Task Force Officer, where he served until his promotion. He is also a member of the GBI’s Special Enforcement Team and a Georgia P.O.S.T. certified instructor.

ASAC McNeal graduated from Thomas University with a Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies in 2011.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is comprised of four divisions: the Georgia Crime Information Center, the Crime Laboratory, the Investigative Division, and the Legal Division. The GBI has ~818 employees and a current budget of $119,761,272. ASAC McNeal is assigned to the Investigative Division.

ASAC McNeal is from Alamo, GA and currently resides in Cadwell, GA.
