The city of Fitzgerald hosts celebration

FITZGERALD, GA – According to a press release, the city of Fitzgerald will be celebrating “Georgia Cities Week” October 3-9. Georgia Cities Week is sponsored by the Georgia Municipal Association with the intention of spotlighting and celebrating the different cities in the Peach State.

This year’s theme is “Shaping the Future,” and there will be a variety of activities and events throughout the week including family game night, live music, mural dedication, a candidate meet and greet, food trucks, and information booths.

The city will also observe fire prevention week and “Coffee with a Cop” during the day’s long event. The public is encouraged to come and enjoy the festivities and learn more about the city so many good people call home.
