Miss Georgia Sweet Potato Pageant Entry Deadline: September 6th
OCILLA, Ga. – A celebration of sweetness, confidence and community is coming to South Georgia. It’s the Miss Georgia Sweet Potato Pageant! Young ladies throughout the state will descend on Ocilla to compete for this high honor. Age divisions range from newborn babies to 25 year old women, and up to 9 queens will be crowned that day.
Age Divisions:
Baby: 0–12 months
Teeny: Ages 1–2
Tiny: Ages 3–4
Little: Ages 5–6
Young: Ages 7–9
Junior: Ages 10–12
Teen: Ages 13–16
Miss: Ages 17–25
All contestants will compete in Evening Gown and will be judged on poise, personality, beauty, stage presence, and projection. Each winner will receive a crown, sash, trophy, and crowning pin, and will be invited to participate in all official appearances alongside the other newly crowned queens. The’ Teen’ and ‘Miss’ division winners will also receive a scholarship awarded upon successful completion of their reign.
The Miss Georgia Sweet Potato Pageant takes place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 12th at the Irwin County High School Auditorium, 149 Chiefton Circle, in Ocilla.
