CO: GUN SALES SURGE 195% AS NEW LAW TAKES EFFECT

Nearly 60,000 Coloradans submitted background check applications to buy new guns in July, a 195% increase over the same month last year, as buyers rushed to make purchases before a new firearms safety training requirement took effect Aug. 1.
