PSMC to host Community Blood Drive in Americus August 21
AMERICUS, Georgia – South Georgia is still facing a severe blood shortage, and the American Red Cross is actively seeking donors in the area.
To bolster these efforts, Phoebe Sumter Medical Center and Americus First Baptist Church are holding a community blood drive.
It’s an opportunity to celebrate life by giving blood and ensuring that local hospitals and ICUs are able to handle any emergencies that come through their doors. Please visit redcrossblood.org and enter PSMC to schedule an appointment.
As a bonus, every blood donor during the month of August will receive a $20 Amazon gift card.
The blood drive takes place from 8:15 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday, August 21st, at Fellowship Hall, 221 South Lee Street in Americus. For more information, visit redcrossblood.org.
