Flint River Blues BBQ and Heritage Festival in Albany Saturday
ALBANY, Ga. – Get ready for some soulful music and mouth-watering bar-b-cue when The Flint River Blues BBQ & Heritage Festival comes to town this weekend. Entry is free, and the party gets started at 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning.
There will be a car show, BBQ food trucks, a fish fry, and arts and crafts vendors. It wouldn’t be a BBQ festival without the “Home Boy” BBQ Cook Off, where non-professional cookers show off their culinary skills and the public decides. This event is pet friendly, and all pups are required to be on a leash.
The Billy Rigsby Band will take the VFW stage at 6 p.m., and tickets for the performance are $10 at the door and are discounted to $8 for VFW members.
The Flint River Blues BBQ & Heritage Festival is a celebration of the music, culture, and communities along the Flint River, from its headwaters in College Park, Georgia to its end near Bainbridge.
