Phoebe Sumter to Host Free Children’s Health Fair in Americus

AMERICUS, Ga. –  Phoebe Sumter Medical Center will host an upcoming Children’s Health Fair, a community-focused event offering free health screenings and family-friendly activities, Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This fun and informative health fair is open to children ages 5 to 17, with free screenings for weight, Body Mass Index (BMI), and blood pressure. In addition to health checks, families can enjoy music, games, and a healthy lunch provided to all participating children.

“We prioritize the health and well-being of children in our community, and events like this play a vital role in connecting with families and equipping them with resources to encourage healthy living,” said Carlyle Walton, Phoebe Sumter Medical Center President.

Attendees will also receive:

  • Free fruit & vegetable boxes (1 per family, while supplies last) in partnership with Healthy Sumter and Flint River Fresh

  • Free back-to-school supplies (while supplies last) in partnership with Walmart and Zeta Phi Beta, Inc.
