Punks Landing Paddle on the Flint Saturday
ALBANY, Ga. – Flint Riverkeeper invites everyone to a morning paddle on the Flint this Saturday.
Participants will meet at Punks Landing at 9 a.m. before moving upstream to Radium Springs Landing for a 9-mile-paddle trip on the lower Flint River.
The group will paddle to the Radium Springs confluence with the Flint, Cotton Boat Shoals, and explore gravel bars for fossils and artifacts.
The trip is free for Flint Riverkeeper members and costs $45 for non-members with a membership included. Kayak, paddle, and floatation device rental is also available for $15.
Participants should bring secure fitting shoes, sunscreen and shades, their own kayak or canoe and gear (paddle, personal flotation device) if not renting them, and pack a lunch.
