Dougherty County Police Department Partners with McDonald's for National Night Out Kickoff Fundraiser
ALBANY, Ga. – The Dougherty County Police Department is inviting the community to support its National Night Out efforts by attending two National Night Out Kickoff fundraising events at McDonald’s, located at 101 South Westover Boulevard.
The events will be held on Wednesday, July 8, and Wednesday, July 22, from 5 to 7 p.m. During each event, Dougherty County Police officers will step behind the counter to serve customers alongside McDonald’s employees. A percentage of the proceeds from purchases made during the two-hour events will be donated to the Dougherty County Police Department to support National Night Out activities.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes partnerships between law enforcement and the neighborhoods they serve while encouraging crime prevention and community engagement.
“We’re asking our community to come out, enjoy a meal and help support an event that strengthens the relationship between our officers and the residents we serve,” said Dougherty County Police Chief Kenneth Johnson. “Every purchase made during these events helps us continue building safer, stronger neighborhoods through National Night Out.”
Residents are encouraged to bring their families, meet local officers and show their support by dining at the participating McDonald’s location during either event.
