VLPRA Hosts ‘South Georgia’s Largest Fireworks Show’ July 4th!
VALDOSTA, Ga. – Celebrate 250 Years of America with Valdosta-Lowndes County Parks and Recreation Authority (VLPRA)’s annual July 4th fireworks show this Saturday! The spectacle, touted as south Georgia’s largest fireworks show, is free to attend.
The best way to watch the fireworks is to be on the mall side of i-75 between exits 16 and 18. Spectators should look west toward Brooks County to get the best view.
VLPRA encourages families to find parking early, and would like to remind the public to not stop on the interstate or interstate ramps to see the show. Everyone is invited to bring their lawn chairs, blankets, and patriotic spirit and join the city for an unforgettable evening of family fun and fireworks!
The annual fireworks show will go off at nightfall around 9:15 p.m. If the show rains out, VLPRA will reschedule for Sunday at the same time and place. For more information about the show, visit VLPRA’s website at www.vlpra.com.
