Visit Albany Launches “Stay Cool in Albany” Summer Campaign 

Interactive Summer Experience Encourages Exploration, Family Fun, and Cool Treats Across Albany

ALBANY, Ga. – Visit Albany GA is inviting residents and visitors to beat the South Georgia heat this summer with its new “Stay Cool in Albany” campaign, running through July 31, 2026. The interactive summer campaign encourages participants to visit featured attractions, entertainment venues, and cool treat locations throughout Albany while earning prizes along the way. 

Participants may explore 12 participating locations across Albany and earn one “Cool Point” for each stop visited. To participate, guests must take a photo featuring themselves and the activity or treat at each location. Once six Cool Points are earned, participants may submit their photos and contact information through the official online entry form available on the Visit Albany website. 

“This campaign is designed to encourage both residents and visitors to explore Albany in a fun and engaging way during the summer months,” said Kasey L. Summerville, President & CEO of Visit Albany GA. “We wanted to create an experience that supports local businesses and attractions while helping families and visitors discover all the cool things happening across Albany.”

  • Freeze Frozen Yogurt 

Cool Attractions 

  • Chehaw Splash Pad 
  • Flint RiverQuarium 
  • Planetarium Show 
  • Albany Civil Rights Institute 

Cool Entertainment 

  • Race to Escape 
  • Up 2 U Entertainment 
  • Fun Park 
  • AMC Albany Movie Theater 

Participants who complete six Cool Points will receive a Visit Albany summer prize package that includes a Visit Albany cup, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Each completed six-point submission will also be entered into the campaign’s grand prize drawing for a $75 gift card and a Visit Albany swag bag featuring Visit Albany merchandise. 

Participants may continue earning additional grand prize entries after completing the initial six stops. Each additional location visited beyond six points will count as one bonus entry into the grand prize drawing, with a maximum of six additional entries available for participants who complete all 12 locations. 

Only one summer prize package may be redeemed per participant; however, bonus grand prize entries may continue to accumulate through additional visits. The grand prize drawing will take place August 1, 2026.
