Tifton Memorial Day Tribute at Jack Stone Veterans Memorial Park
TIFTON, Ga. – The City of Tifton is holding a Memorial Day tribute Monday morning, and everyone is invited to attend. Tifton has been home to several distinguished military veterans over the years, and the city wants to honor all American military personnel who died in service.
“We invite all of Tifton to attend this tribute to honor the veterans who sacrificed everything for our freedom,” said Caroline Abbott, Marketing & Communications Manager for the City of Tifton.
The tribute will take place at Jack Stone Veterans Memorial Park, and will include patriotic music, speakers and more. The formal program begins at 11 a.m. and will feature local musicians, an invocation, presentation of colors, and a keynote speech from state representative Clay Pirkle. The program will conclude with the playing of taps.
“Through this event, we can educate our community about these heroes and their selflessness and bravery,” said Ms. Abbott. “Join us.”
