A Night on the Town Gala for the Tiftarea House of Hope

TIFTON, Ga. – The Tiftarea House of Hope is holding its annual fundraising gala this Friday night, and the public is invited to attend. The House of Hope’s gala, named “A Night on the Town,” is an annual fundraising event to finance their emergency and transitional housing unit for homeless women and their children. The goal is to ensure that no woman in the Tift County area has to spend the night on the streets because she cannot find or afford safe housing.

The Tiftarea House of Hope is a non-denominational, faith-based organization. In addition to providing basic needs, women attend educational classes and workshops to help achieve a better life.

Services Include:

• Shelter

• Nutritious Meals, Clothing, & Transportation

• Case management to assist with goal planning and applying for needed resources, jobs or other income sources, and  affordable housing.

• Computer Skills & Life Skills Classes

• Financial Literacy & Goal Planning

• Biblical Counseling & Mentorship

• Workforce Training at The Bird’s Nest Thrift Store

• Recovery programs to address trauma, addiction, and emotional healing

The dinner takes place at 6 P.M. at the First Baptst Church of Tifton Worship Center, 404 Love Avenue. There will be great food, music, and stories of lives changed.  Space is limited, so anyone wanting to attend should RSVP as soon as possible.
