Mother Lover 5K and 1M Fun Run This Saturday in Tifton
TIFTON, Ga. – Do you like wine? Do you like cake? Most importantly, do you love your Mom? If you answered “YES!” to any of these questions, then Rutland Farms has an event just for you – their first ever Mother’s Day race, “The Mother Lover” 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run/Cake Walk.
This event will kick off Mother’s Day weekend on Saturday, May 9TH at 10:00 A.M. It takes place on an off road course which will run through the beautiful countryside of Rutland Farms and is designed to be more fun than fast.
5K runners 21 and older will take part in a wine tasting on the go, with several stops stationed along the course where they can sample some of the best local wines in South Georgia and sweet treats from the farm’s bakery. 1 Mile Fun Run/Cake Walk participants will visit stations along the route and taste test some of the most popular homemade cakes fresh from the bakery at Rutland Farms.
Both races are meant to bring together mothers, daughters, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, and whoever participants want to bring to celebrate that special someone this Mother’s Day.

1 Mile Fun Run/Cake Walk- 11:00 A.M.
Registration Fee:
5K Participants
Adults (21 & older): $40 (includes short sleeved t-shirt & race course wine tasting)
Adults: $35 (includes only short sleeved t-shirt)
Group Registration (3 or more in group): $35 (includes short sleeved t-shirt & race course wine tasting)
1 Mile Participants
Adults: $30 (includes short sleeved t-shirt & race course cake tasting)
Children (12 & under): $25 (includes short sleeved t-shirt & race course cake tasting)
• Registrations past May 1st will not be guaranteed a t-shirt.
• Awards will be given to the top 2 finishers of each race.
• This is a trail run and strollers are welcome but jogging strollers are encouraged due to the terrain.
