First Responders Contribute Charity Cook Off

SYLVESTER, Ga. –  The First Responders Contribute Cook Off Festival was created to show first responder heroes support from the surrounding community. According to organizers, all proceeds raised from the event will be donated to participating first responders’ favorite charities.

In its fourth year, the festival will be held at Jeffords Park in Sylvester on Saturday, April 25th from 9:30 A.M. until 5 P.M. There will be a Bar-B-Que competition, food vendors, arts and crafts, bouncy houses, and live entertainment throughout the day. Organizers expect the event to be lots of fun for the entire family, and its purpose is to honor the area’s first responder heroes.

First responders are encouraged to sign up as cooking teams, but everyone who has a mouth-watering recipe and skills with a spatula is welcome to sign up. The entry fee is $25 per category, and the 3 categories are: Chicken, Ribs, and Pulled Pork. Trophies will be handed out to the winning teams. For more information, contact Mr. Gene at 229-805-6036.
