Moultrie Makes a Clean Sweep – April 20-24
MOULTRIE, Ga. – The City of Moultrie’s annual Spring Cleanup Week will take place from Monday, April 20, 2026, to Friday, April 24. During this weeklong cleanup event, residents can rid their properties of litter, debris, appliances, junk automobiles, and other discarded items at no additional cost. Resiidents are encouraged to place the items in their normal collection location at each address, and City workers will collect them.
A trailer will be located at the City of Moultrie Service Center at 1108 1st Street NE, where residents can bring their own discarded items at no additional cost. Junk automobiles will also be collected at no additional cost by local salvage and wrecker services, and the City of Moultrie Public Works Department has a list of participating haulers available.
Free pickup is reserved for City of Moultrie residents only, excluding commercial businesses and vacant rental properties. Items are limited to non-trash items, excluding limbs, leaves, other yard waste, hazardous wastes, and building demolition. There is a volume limit of 25 cubic yards per address.
There will also be an electronic recycling event held on Wednesday, April 22, from 9 A.M. to 3 P.M., where City of Moultrie residents can bring their discarded electronic appliances to a recycling trailer at the Georgia State Farmers Market.
The City of Moultrie Public Works Department appreciates residents participation in the program, which is intended to keep Moultrie a clean and pleasant place to live. Contact their office at 229-668-5423 for more information.
