Glow run to light up ABAC campus with ‘GLOW Back’ 5K April 17
TIFTON, Ga. – A night of glowing fun and fitness is coming to campus as a unique 5K event lights up the area next week.
The “Gee Haw, GLOW Back” 5K is set for Friday, April 17, at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, with activities kicking off at 7:30 p.m. and the race beginning at 8:30 p.m.
Hosted by the ABAC Cross Country team and the college’s Athletic Training Department, the glow-themed walk and run is open to participants of all ages and experience levels—from first-time runners to seasoned competitors.
Organizers say the course will highlight several well-known campus landmarks, including athletic fields, the rodeo arena, Lake Baldwin, the campus chapel, and the historic front circle where the college first began in 1908. The route includes a mix of paved and unpaved terrain.
Pre-race activities will take place before the start. The first 200 registered finishers will receive medals at the finish line.
The event aims to bring the campus and community together while supporting ABAC student-athletes.
Registration is available online at RunSignUp. For more information, participants can contact race director Kaitlyn Hunt at kaitlyn.hunt@abac.edu.
