Downtown Moultrie to host 22nd annual Spring Fling and Backyard BBQ Festival April 17-18
MOULTRIE, Ga. – Springtime fun and the smell of barbecue are set to take over downtown Moultrie as a popular annual festival returns for another year.
The 22nd Annual Spring Fling and Backyard BBQ Festival will be held April 17 and 18, bringing two days of family-friendly activities, food, and live entertainment.
Organizers say the festival will feature a wide variety of attractions, including arts and crafts vendors, food trucks, games, children’s activities, and a backyard BBQ competition. Attendees can also take part in special events like the Run for the Ranch race and the Kiwanis pancake breakfast.
One of this year’s highlights will be a performance from JW Griffin, a Moultrie native and current contestant on The Voice, who is scheduled to take the stage Saturday at 11:30 a.m.
The event kicks off Friday night with a live concert from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday’s festivities continue from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with activities planned throughout the day.
Organizers expect more than 15,000 people to attend, making it one of the largest community events of the year in Moultrie.
