Albany State University to host Blue and Gold Scholarship Gala April 11
ALBANY, Ga. – One of the most anticipated events of the year at Albany State University is set to take place this weekend, bringing together community leaders, alumni, and supporters for a night focused on student success.
The annual Blue and Gold Scholarship Gala will be held Saturday, April 11, at 6 p.m. inside the ASU West Campus Arena.
This year’s theme, “Reigniting the Flame, Powering the Future,” highlights the university’s commitment to honoring its legacy while investing in the next generation of students.
During the evening, several distinguished awards will be presented, including the Champion of Education Award, Community Business Partner Award, Albert W. “Smitty” Smith Philanthropy Award, Lifetime Achievement Award, and Young Alumni Award. The honors recognize individuals and organizations that have made a lasting impact on the university and its mission.
Organizers say the gala serves as a signature fundraising event, with proceeds going toward scholarships for deserving students, helping them pursue their academic goals and future careers.
Tickets are available online, with general admission set at $200. Sponsorship opportunities are also open for those looking to support the event and contribute to student success.
